Are We There Yet?

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over again and expecting different results.

That's how I feel whenever I read a new story on the "progress" between the owners and players in resolving the NFL Lockout.

It's the same old story ... "We're close to an agreement."

Well, I think I can speak for football fans everywhere when I say, let's stop this insanity and finalize an agreement already!!!

The only difference these days is that both sides are optimistic that the season and the preseason will be saved. Soon, there will be some football ... but, to quote one of the sources close to the talks, "We're not there yet."

This is so disheartening for football fans. We're the ones who are suffering and all this squabbling is only turning us off. But, what are we gonna do? Start watching soccer? Fat chance ... we want some good old American football.

Are we really close to getting this settled in time to salvage the 2011 NFL season? Perhaps, but I'll believe it when I see it.

Go Browns!

"Waiting for the
lockout to end
is turning into
a really long nap."
