Die Hard Browns Fan: Steve

I should have known from the get-go that following up last week's Interview with a Die Hard Browns Fan was going to be difficult. I knew I had to start with my Uncle Walt, because he is the epitome of the die-hard Browns fan in my eyes.

This week, while the interview answers may not be as in depth as Walt's were, they're coming from the heart of a true fan — my older brother Steve.

Steve is next on my list, after Uncle Walt, of the biggest Browns fans I know. I've watched many Browns games with Steve (his basement, for a longtime, was a virtual Browns lair filled with memorabilia and an orange wall with a brown and white stripe in the middle).

So, without further ado, I give you the Blawg Pound Interview with a Die Hard Browns Fan.

How long have you been a Browns fan?
Since I was 12 and got a television in my room. Before I got the black and white TV, we only had one TV in the house. I had to watch Jerry Lewis movies on Sunday afternoon because my sister got to choose the programing.
Who is your all-time favorite Browns player?
Bernie Kosar on offense. Second favorite is Brian Sipe.
Did you ever get to see him play in person?
Yes, I saw Bernie play several times.
What is your favorite Browns memory?
Watching the win over the Jets in OT playoff game in 1986.
Do you support Mike Holmgren and the direction in which he is taking this team?
It can't be worse than Clark or Davis.
Are you satisfied with the hiring of Pat Shurmur as the head coach?
Only time will tell. If he wins, I will be satisfied.
What off season move has you excited for next season?
Letting Shaun Rogers go.
What offseason move has you worried about next season?
Re-signing Seneca Wallace.
Switching to west coast offense and 4-3 defense. New systems for all the remaining players from last year to learn.
What areas do you think are of the biggest concern to the Browns for next season?
We need a deep threat WR on offense and a pro bowl player at LB.
Who would you like to see the Browns take with the No. 6 pick in the NFL Draft?
AJ Green.
Who is your favorite current Browns player?
No. 40 (Peyton Hillis)
What makes you a die-hard Browns fan?
I never miss a minute of a game even when they are losing big. I wear my browns coat, hoodies and shirts all the time even when they lose. I hate seeing anyone walking around downtown Cleveland wearing a Steelers shirt. I ask them what Pittsburgh is like and most of the time they tell me they have never been there. They fess up and tell me they are front runners and like the Yankees too.
How much money would it take to get you to wear a Steelers jersey in public?
NEVER!!!
There you have it. Real answers from a real Browns fan. Thanks sharing your thoughts, Steve, and thanks for being a Browns fans.

Are you a die-hard Browns fan? If you're reading this and your name isn't RJ, then I'm guessing you are. Visit our Facebook page or send us an e-mail and let us know if you'd like to be considered for a future Interview with a Die Hard Browns Fan.
